Customers can purchase an 8-month firewood permit which can be used between April 1 and Nov. 30.
According to Forest Officials, the permit may only be used on dead firewood material (without green leaves or needles) within the Sequoia National Forest. Woodcutting activities will to be based on road, weather and fire danger conditions. Please check with your local Ranger Station for current conditions and restrictions.
Firewood is $10 per cord with a minimum purchase of two cords per person ($20), maximum purchase of 10 cords per household. At the time of purchase, a forest map, area based woodcutting instructions and forest policies will be provided and discussed. The cost of the permit is not refundable.

Keep your permit on the dashboard of your vehicle where it is visible through the windshield.
